Actor Tracy Morgan is in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Saturday morning.

State police Sgt. Gregory Williams confirmed to CNN the former 30 Rock star's limo bus was overturned during the accident, while the local NBC affiliate has reported that a tractor trailer slammed into the limo and other slow-moving vehicles. One fatality and the remaining injuries have reportedly come only from the limo.

UPDATE: A spokesperson for Morgan has released the following statement.

Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware. His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don’t anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available.
