With only weeks to go until the inaugural Eaux Claires music festival, co-creator Justin Vernon says Bon Iver's hiatus is finally coming to an end.

According to Vernon, the band's upcoming headlining appearance at Eaux Claires will be the start of the third album cycle, although he hasn't provided any details about the record.

“It’s the perfect kind of platform for us to be like, 'This is what we're doing. This is how we’re starting this new cycle, this new life of the band," Vernon told NBC affiliate KARE 11 this week. "And it makes so much sense to start it there, right where it all started."

While Vernon has been active with various side projects, Bon Iver as an outfit has been largely silent in recent years, although a new song titled "Heavenly Father" appeared on Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here soundtrack last year.

Next month marks four years since the release of Bon Iver's Grammy-winning self-titled LP. Eaux Claires is set for July 17-18 in Eau Claire, Wisc.
