Mac Miller's family has shared plans to release a previously unheard album later this month.
In a note shared on the late rapper's social media accounts, the family said Miller had been working on a companion project to his last album Swimming at the time of his death. He had been working with Jon Brion on both albums, which are said to offer two complementary styles. The second project, titled Circles, will be released on Jan. 17.
The family said in their statement Brion essentially "dedicated himself" to finishing the Circles album. Miller's family added that because this has been a "complicated process," finishing an album in the late rapper's absence, and in order to preserve the sacredness of it, they will not be doing any further promotion or making additional announcements on his social media channels.
