As Los Angeles-based outfit Rows prepares to release their debut Something More EP, they're giving fans an early preview.

While the six-track project is officially out Friday (April 27), the emerging trio has shared the title track, which is premiering today on Variance. It's a glistening, emotive cut inspired by heartache but anchored in triumph.

"‘Something More’ is a song about heartbreak and the courage it takes to end a broken relationship," the band's singer-songwriter Matt Couchois tells Variance of the track. "It’s easy to wallow in self-pity after a break-up, but the hardest part is learning to accept what was wrong and find the strength to move forward. I wanted the production of this song to bring to life exactly how moving on feels. To me, it's like that first dive under a wave in the cold ocean. It’s painful for a second but you come out the other side feeling triumphant and wiped clean."

Despite Rows' relative newcomer status, Couchois was most recently part of the indie rock band Max and the Moon, having previously shared the stage with the likes of The Neighbourhood, Tove Lo and X Ambassadors.
