20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for the upcoming biopic Hidden Figures, which centers on Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe), the brains behind one of NASA's greatest operations.

As we previously mentioned, the three women broke a number of significant barriers and challenged racism and prejudice as they worked behind the scenes on astronaut John Glenn's 1962 launch into orbit.

"We go from being our fathers' daughters to our husbands' wives to our babies' mothers," Monáe's Mary says in the newly released clip. "Every time we get a chance to get ahead, they move the finish line."

Hidden Figures, which is already shaping up to be one of the most remarkable films of the winter, also stars Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons and Glen Powell, with original music from Pharrell Williams.

While the film is out on Jan. 13, the trailer can be seen below.
