As newcomer Lauv continues to rise, the New York-based singer has released an appropriately hazy new video for his infectious single "Reforget."

The track is off the musician's Lost in the Light EP, which arrived in September, and the visuals come as he recently signed a publishing deal with Dr. Luke.

In the Andy DeLuca-directed video, Lauv is seen trying to drink away the remnants of a painful breakup while still not being able to let go.

“It’s about the repetitive cycle of self destruction we put ourselves through to cope with love lost,” Lauv said of the song. “Or perhaps it’s coping with the fact that, after all is said and done, you wake up still feeling the same love you gave away.”
