Daft Punk May Be Plotting 2017 Tour

Just days after the release of their collaboration with The Weeknd, it appears Daft Punk may be planning a live return next year.

While there's only a limited amount of information so far, a very resourceful Reddit user has found that Lollapalooza recently added a Daft Punk page and tag to its site. The page has since been removed, but it follows rumors the robots could potentially headline England's Glastonbury Festival next summer.

Adding to speculation, a 2017 run would fall in line with Daft Punk's previous efforts of taking 10 years off between treks, having only toured in 1997 and 2007.

Should Daft Punk actually hit the festival circuit next year, headlining stints at Coachella and Lolla's sister fest Austin City Limits Music Festival would also seem likely.

Update: A rep for Daft Punk has declined to comment, but sources tell Variance there are "no plans" for a tour at this point, although cautioning "not to rule anything out."
