Following last year's release of his solo debut Half-Light, Rostam has now returned with new music.

On Wednesday, he shared his new single "In a River," which comes ahead of his performance this Friday night at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

"When we got in the studio, I knew I wanted to capture the feeling we got when we played it live," says Rostam of the track, which he previously tested out on the road while promoting Half-Light. "So I pulled the audio off a YouTube clip from a few nights prior— in San Francisco— and dropped it in the Pro Tools session. That audio became a road map for how the song should move."
