Toronto R&B crooner Conrad the Third is getting a head start on the weekend with his debut single "Get You Alone."

The simmering, hypnotic new cut is officially out Friday, but it is premiering today on Variance. It's the first single from the singer's upcoming debut album Calm Waters.

"What's interesting about this particular song is that it can be interpreted in a number of ways," says Conrad about the new track. "Each time I listen to it, it feels as if I’m telling a different version of the same story. It could be interpreted as a break up song, a make-up song, or even just a first encounter."

Born into a family of classical musicians, Conrad’s music draws inspiration from across the musical spectrum, including elements of R&B, funk and jazz, with lyrics about love, lust, loss and addiction, while his voice could share a lane with the likes of JMSN, Robin Thicke and SOHN.
