Los Angeles-based newcomer MELVV is kicking off the weekend with his new single "Anything Else."

The woozy new cut, a collaboration with Electric Guest's Asa Taccone, marks the Milwaukee native's major label debut on Atlantic Records. And it's an addictive offering, likely to leave listeners eager for more from the rising artist, who dropped out of college in 2016 to pursue a career in music.

"I went over to Asa’s house one day. We’d never met, and it was during a heat wave," MELVV said of the track. "It was over 100 degrees in the house. He set up this ice bath and kept hopping in between takes on the mic. We really just clicked and basically finished the song in a day."
