With their new album No Escape Out of Time out this Friday, London outfit RITUAL has shared a new version of their single "Drown the Lovers," which was already a Variance favorite.

For the rework of the track, they teamed up with Atlanta rapper 6LACK, who adds a simmering verse at the top of the song.

According to 6LACK, he stumbled on RITUAL while "Soundcloud surfing for new songs to fall in love with," eventually discovering the band's rework of his song "Loyal" and instantly becoming a fan, diving "into everything of theirs I could find."

For their part, RITUAL said: "It's almost a surreal moment when one of your favorite artists sends you over a verse like this—the way he's gone so deep into the concept and written such a powerful verse, it's something really special."

The new version of "Drown" follows RITUAL's other recent standout "Better By Now." It also comes ahead of 6LACK's North American tour with Sabrina Claudio.
