St. Louis singer-songwriter Jake Weisman has shared his new single "Place in My Heart."

It's a charming, kind of funky cut, anchored by the relative newcomer's speak-singing ability. And it's evidence of Weisman's musical influences, such as John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix and Kid Cudi.

"Place" is a preview of Weisman's upcoming debut EP, which is expected to arrive later this year.
