Lana Del Rey's previously unreleased song "BBM Baby" has made its way online, years after it was first conceived.

The glitzy pop cut, clearly of a different Del Rey era, was co-written with Chris Glover (aka Penguin Prison) and dates back to 2011, in the early days of sexting, when Blackberry Messenger (BBM) was much more prevalent.

Glover, who previously remixed Del Rey's "Blue Jeans," said the song was recorded in his home studio, telling Filter the two artists met in 2009 and hung out in London and New York. "She's funny, she's a very entertaining person to hang out with," he said. "And she has a wonderful singing voice."

Although it's only a "demo" version, "BBM Baby" can be heard below (via PopCrush).
