After weeks of speculation, Coachella organizers Goldenvoice on Tuesday made it official: Desert Trip, a once-in-a-lifetime event starring some of rock's greatest icons, is coming in October.
As we previously mentioned, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, The Who, Bob Dylan and Neil Young are all set to take part in the three-day festival, which will be held Oct. 7-9 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the same venue as Coachella.
It will mark the first time the six acts have shared a bill, with Dylan and the Stones playing back-to-back on Oct. 7, followed on Oct. 8 by Young and McCartney. Closing it out will be the Who and Waters on Oct. 9.
Tickets go on sale Monday (May 9) at 10 a.m. PST, with prices ranging from $199 for single-day passes to $1,599 for grandstand VIP.
