After weeks of teasing new music and further revealing his debut album will finally arrive this year, Jon Bellion just before midnight on Thursday released the first single "Guillotine."

Featuring his "All Time Low" collaborator Travis Mendes, it technically marks the singer-songwriter's first paid single after offering his previous material as free downloads and Soundcloud streams.

Bellion was careful to admit it felt "very odd even attempting to release anything" following the "horrific news" of Prince's death earlier Thursday. But the song has long been planned for Friday at midnight and was already distributed to the various digital platforms.

"If there was ever a discussion for greatest musician of all time it's insane to think that someone has it by a landslide," Bellion tweeted about Prince.

While Bellion's full album, titled The Human Condition, will arrive June 10 on Capitol Records, this is a great first listen.
