One of the standout artists of The Voice's second season is currently in intensive care.
A rep for Jamar Rogers—whose heartbreaking backstory of overcoming drug addiction and living with HIV helped propel the talented singer in the singing competition—confirmed that he was admitted into the hospital on Sept. 3. His health took a downturn after he suffered a lung infection, and as of Monday, he was listed in critical condition.
Rogers, who recently signed with Tommy Boy Entertainment, is expected to release an album next year. His manager believes he should recover within the next week, but we will likely remain hospitalized for the next few days.
