Jay-Z, like many Americans, was obviously annoyed by recent criticism of his trip to Cuba with wife Beyoncé. Following an investigation by two Republican members of Congress that ultimately proved the pair indeed had their proper licenses to travel, Hov hit the studio for an impromptu recording with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. The song, "Open Letter," premiered on Jay's Life + Times website.

On the new track, Jay-Z proclaims, "Politician never did s-- for me/except lie to me, distort history/Wanna give me jail time and a fine/Fine, lemme commit a real crime."
