Ahead of their upcoming Miami gig, The Chainsmokers return this week with a fresh new jam titled "Selfie."
The self-described "party tune" is a satirical track that pokes fun at the omnipresent selfie, which was on Tuesday declared Word of the Year by Oxford Dictionaries.
While the producer duo has developed a knack for remixing indie progressive tracks (Icona Pop, Mikky Ekko), they caution that this "is just a fun party track; enjoy it or not, its just for fun."
The track features Alexis Killacam humorously debating Instagram filters and why Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" is playing when "it's not even summer."

Always a fun pair (that's part of why we love these guys), they point out a bit of irony with this weekend's Miami show, as they were previously denied entry into LIV, the club where they'll be performing on Friday.
