Newly threepeat GRAMMY winners for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, The Civil Wars are about to release a four-song EP, despite having been on hiatus for the last year and a half.
The duo comprised of Joy Williams and John Paul White on Thursday shared one of the tracks, their cover of Elliott Smith's "Between the Bars." Also on the Rick Rubin/Charlie Peacock-produced EP are Portishead's "Sour Times," Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" (a fan favorite from their previous live shows) and The Romantics' "Talking in Your Sleep."
The EP was released last fall on vinyl, but it will arrive digitally on Feb. 11 via Sensibility Recordings/Columbia Records. Perhaps another GRAMMY nod next year?
