After debuting the song last month on Saturday Night Live, Ed Sheeran's "Don't" can now be heard in full online ahead of the singer's new album, X, which is due June 23.
Despite the radio-friendly, Pharrell-produced chorus of lead single "Sing," the song never felt natural. Contrast that with "Don't," which does in fact sound like a more organic progression for the young lyricist. It might also help that this latest song is quite personal, reportedly inspired by Sheeran's brief-but-tumultuous relationship with Ellie Goulding, who—as the song suggests—was apparently unfaithful.
Fans who pre-order X on iTunes will receive an instant download of both previously released tracks.
Side Note: So Taylor Swift may have rubbed off a bit on ol' Ed, huh?
