When Saturday Night Live returns for its 40th season later this month, Chris Pratt will be among those welcoming viewers back.

The Parks and Recreation actor and newly dubbed blockbuster star will host the season premiere on Sept. 27, with Ariana Grande as musical guest.

Sarah Silverman—also making her hosting debut—and Maroon 5 will take over the following week on Oct. 4.

Despite being a landmark year for the venerable sketch comedy show, it will also be another year of transition, as season 39 freshmen players Brooks Wheelan, Noël Wells and John Milhiser will not return. Meanwhile, veteran player Nasim Pedrad has also departed for Fox's upcoming comedy Mulaney.

SNL is expected to pay tribute to Don Pardo, the show's announcer since its premiere in 1975; he passed away last month at 96.

Among the various ways the show will mark its 40th anniversary will be in the form of a three-hour live special next February.
