Singer Joy Williams has officially begun a new chapter of her post-The Civil Wars career with a fresh, boisterous new single "Woman (Oh Mama)."

As the first preview of her upcoming solo album VENUS, the track embraces womanhood and "what it's like to experience the beauty, the spark and strength of what it is to be inside your skin.

Williams will perform a pair of shows in New York (May 14) and Los Angeles (May 19), with tickets going on sale this Wednesday.
