Tokyo Police Club frontman Dave Monks this week shared a new solo song "Gasoline," a nostalgic piece that may remind some of the band's earlier material, with perhaps hints of old Death Cab for Cutie.

It's a truly gorgeous preview of the musician's upcoming EP, All Signs Point to Yes, which is reflective on Monks' new love interest and his move from Toronto to New York. The EP will arrive June 16 on Dine Alone Records.

In contrast to some of his band's pop-leaning sounds, this new collection finds Monks taking a more stripped down approach. He said in a press statement: “As I was writing these songs I just thought, ‘What if this is the song, what if it just starts with me and I don’t have to add anything else and I can embrace all the things that come most naturally to me?’"
