After laying low in recent months, Vancouver four-piece Bear Mountain has returned with a delightful new single "Hopeful."

It's the first official preview of the band's upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in early 2016.

The track is an illuminative cut, created while "thinking about the future, and being hopeful for what's to come despite the past," according to the band. And it finds the group fitting snugly in between the likes of Hot Chip and Cut Copy, acts they've previously opened for on tour.

Listen to "Hopeful" below and stay tuned for more from Bear Mountain in the coming weeks.
