Hailing from Brooklyn, New York’s fiery underground indie scene, Two-Man Giant Squid have in less than two years established themselves as one of NYC’s most promising new acts. Known for a signature mix of 1980’s punk and indie-psych influences and must-see live shows, the rising five-piece have released their first proper full-length LP Intro To Basement via Mint 400 Records. It follows their ‘22 EP Abyssal Gigantism, which garnered glowing praise by WFUV's Sam Sumpter who named it EP of The Year. The new album, sounding both boldly new and throwback simultaneously, is some of the best music we’ve heard this year. Fans of bands like Modest Mouse and Parquet Courts, prepare to be blown away.

On the album, Two-Man Giant Squid’s Mitch Vinokur explains: "It’s an ode to the DIY roots that launched our band 2 years ago. They are the songs we wrote while trying to pave our way in NYC. The ethic of our scene is both sink-or-swim and nourishing at the same time. We were trying to write songs that we knew could explode a basement party the same way they could set Mercury Lounge into mayhem. Oscillating between dance-punk freakouts and emotional indie rock choruses, Intro to Basement is meant to make you feel like the New York underground is back and it's tucked firmly in your pocket.
