After months of teasing, Post Malone on Friday released his new album Austin.

In April, Posty confirmed plans for a tour along with the album. “I love y’all so very much and I’m so excited to get out and do some more shows for y’all," he said. "Help me put a baby through college and come on out. Some cool new production, new songs, and a very very handsome man up on stage. Sending love to you and yours.”

In an interview on Wednesday ahead of the release, Malone sat down with Zane Lowe of Apple Music to chat about the new record and slowing down to focus on fatherhood.

"I guess having a baby really put a lot into perspective and it's really slowed me down a lot, party wise, going out and being crazy," said Post. "But it's the most beautiful thing and I don't know—it's like I'm trying to get some land right now. You already know, the end is nigh."

He also commented on rumors he has been dealing with health problems related to drug use. "It goes from like, 'Hey, I hope he's fine.' But then the rumor starts that I'm doing hard drugs, which I've never done in my entire life." But he said he's too busy focusing on family and music to be held down, joking: "Life's too short to be a dickhead. I think that's the Bible verse, right?"
