It's Oct. 21. And that means Taylor Swift's new album, her 10th studio full-length, is here. As of midnight EST, Midnights has arrived. And as of 3 a.m., there's a 3am deluxe edition!
The singer surprised fans during the MTV Video Music Awards when she accepted the trophy for Video Of The Year and proceeded to announce the new record, as well as its title and release date.
After the show, she shared some insight about the record, which she described as "the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life," suggesting this is more of a concept album than some of her past projects.
Swift later confirmed she wrote and produced this new record alongside her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. And the song "Snow on the Beach" features Lana Del Rey.
Further explaining the new album, Swift said: "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching–hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves."

Ahead of the album's release on Thursday night, Swift shared a teaser clip of footage from the upcoming videos she'll soon release for songs off of Midnights, the first being "Anti-Hero," which will see its video premiere bright and early at 8 a.m. EST on Friday. According to the brief but spectacular clip, which debuted during the Amazon broadcast of Thursday Night Football, the likes of Laura Dern, Jack Antonoff, HAIM, John Early, Mike Birbiglia and Dita von Teese all make appearances in upcoming videos.
Update: Just hours after releasing the 13-track album, Swift unveiled seven additional songs, dubbed the 3am edition.
"Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 songs forming a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour. However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13," says Swift. "I’m calling them 3am tracks. Lately I’ve been loving the feeling of sharing more of our creative process with you, like we do with From The Vault tracks. So it’s 3am and I’m giving them to you now."
Hours later, Swift released the self-directed video for "Anti-Hero," as promised, as 8 a.m. EST. The dramatic clip can be seen above.
