Adam Melchor has released a breathtaking new song called "Cry," which happens to be extremely relatable.

The singer teamed up with co-writers Nick Long (The Chainsmokers, Avril Lavigne), Michael Pollock (Lizzo, John Legend) and Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris) for the emotional new track, which is a preview of his upcoming debut album Here Goes Nothing!, which is out Oct. 21 on Warner Records.

"'Cry' is a song about not wanting to cry in front of someone you love and not exactly knowing why," says Melchor. "Crying always feels like a sign of weakness even if it’s a sign of truth, and we’re taught from a young age that we shouldn’t do it. This song is about navigating those feelings and asking myself why I’m not fully open with myself or someone else.”

Melchor is already having a standout 2022, having performed backing vocals with Post Malone on NBC's Saturday Night Live earlier this year. He recently ended his own 30-date headlining tour.

Check out the new song below.
