British singer/songwriter Lisa Wright has graced us with her stunning new single “Ready Now.” A heartachingly emotional track about letting go of all barriers and allowing yourself to fall in love, Wright displays an overwhelming sensation of adoration which tugs at every heartstring. 

Built upon warm piano melodies, soaring string arrangements and echoing vocals fueled with sentiment, “Ready Now” is seemingly simplistic, yet packs a huge passionate punch. Wright shares, “It’s the most personal and most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my songwriting and ironically, the most that’s ever sounded like the real ‘me’. I felt like it was this weight that hung around me and writing always allows me to unravel complex thoughts that never seem to make sense at the time. I think that’s why people enjoy journaling or writing in other ways”.

Taking a step away from her previous releases which saw her in the country realm, “Ready Now” still stays true to her storytelling songwriting ability, reminiscent of Carole King and Sasha Sloan. No filters, no embellishments, just raw, organic music straight from the heart. We hope to hear more like this from Lisa Wright this year.
