On Friday, rising singer Nina Nesbitt released a new song called "When You Lose Someone," and it's so damn good.

The gripping, gut-wrenching track arrives as Nesbitt continues to tease her new album, which is expected later this year. It's a song clearly built on mourning and emotional turmoil, with a sense of longing after loss.

“Whether someone has passed away or for whatever reason isn’t in your life anymore, grief has many forms and facets," says Nesbitt of the new song. "Learning to be without someone you love is one of the hardest things.’’

The new track also comes as Nesbitt has announced she'll be joining James Arthur's upcoming North American tour, which begins in April, with stops in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, New York and more.

Hear the new song now.
