As many fans, we got new music from Foals today. Their new song "2am" is here and it's incredible.

The band had been teasing the song title in recent weeks, leaving many to speculate about a new single. And they were right. The brilliant, very buoyant new track arrived Thursday along with news of their new album Life Is Yours, which is expected to be released this summer, although a date has yet to be announced.

"Musically, '2am' is one of the poppiest songs we’ve ever written," confesses frontman Yannis Philippakis. "It’s about repetitive cycles of destructive behaviour, which I think lots of people can relate to, and certainly it’s an expression of something that I struggle with. There’s something cathartic about expressing that feeling to this upbeat music that’s got a sense of release and the hope of resolution.”

The new song was produced by John Hill, whose past collaborations include work with Florence + The Machine and Portugal The Man, and Dan Carey, who's previously worked with the likes of Tame Impala.
