Ed Sheeran on Friday released his new album = (pronounced "equals").

The album arrives along with a premiere of the video for his new song "Overpass Graffiti," which will arrive at 9 a.m. EST. The video was directed by his previous collaborator Jason Koenig.

The new album arrives in the middle of a hectic week for Sheeran, who tested positive for COVID-19 just hours after he was announced as the musical guest for the upcoming Nov. 6 episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live. 

According to reports, the sketch comedy show has been "scrambling" to find a replacement for Sheeran, but a press release today announcing the album's arrival still claims he will return to the SNL stage on Nov. 6. It's unclear how or if that is indeed still the plan.
