For months, Max Colombie (aka Oscar and the Wolf) has been treating our ears (and eyes) as he has been building to his third album.

Today, the album is here. The Shimmer is officially out in the world, out today via [PIAS] Recordings, and it's simply enchanting. And whereas his 2014 debut Entity was "recorded in a barn," this new record is evidence of a more mature, well-rounded artist, bold yet refined, brimming with new levels of Colombie's undeniable talent.

“My emotions run from super-happy to super-melancholic in a split second,” he says of the new album. “To me, The Shimmer feels like the soundtrack to a blockbuster, with many types of tracks and themes. It’s always changing.”
