When George Lewis Jr. (aka Twin Shadow) returned this spring with his new song "Johnny & Jonnie," it seemed like he was setting the stage for what to expect from his new record.

That's not always true of artists' lead singles, but it has proven exceptionally accurate with Twin Shadow's new self-titled record, which is such an exciting, kaleidoscopic wonder. It's out now, and it's absolutely beaming, like a brilliant dose of sunshine after the dark proverbial storm we're all trying to come out of these days.

The album includes previously released tracks such as "Johnny & Jonnie," "Get Closer," "Lonestar" and opening cut "Alemania." This is his first full-length since 2018's Caer, although he released a handful of standalone songs in 2019.
