As promised, Vince Staples has released his new album today.

The 10-track self-titled record arrived Friday on Blacksmith Recordings / Motown Records. Featuring his previously released track "Law of Averages," it marks his first album in three years, and it was entirely produced by Kenny Beats.

"It really gives much more information about me that wasn’t out there before," Staples says of the record. "That’s why I went with that title. I feel like I’ve been trying to tell the same story. As you go on in life, your point of view changes. This is another take on myself that I might not have had before.”

But this isn't all we'll hear from Staples in the coming months. In fact, he is said to be working on a number of "creative projects," for which additional details are expected throughout the remainder of this year.

“I’m a mind more than I am an entertainer to a lot of people,” he says. “I appreciate that my fanbase is willing to go on this ride with me. I’m ready to diversify what we’re doing and see how we affect the world.”
