Rising New York-based producer Past Palms is back with new music. 

Following their self-titled debut EP released last summer, they have today shared a new song called "Rainwater," which essentially couldn't come at a better time, as much of America is in the middle of winter and likely exhausted from the news of the day. This tranquil, enamoring new track is the perfect antidote, while serving as a reminder that spring is coming.

"'Rainwater' acts as a lens—between winter and spring, light and dark, calm and chaotic," says Past Palms of the new song. "Focusing on the bittersweet contrast of witnessing new spring flowers begin to bud, all while the cold effects of winter continue to linger."

Drawing inspiration from such acts as Burial and Four Tet, this ambient cut is actually the first of several, with a full EP called Vernal coming next month. Like the first EP, which arrived on the first day of summer, this new project will arrive on March 20, the spring equinox.
