Famed actress Jackie Cruz shows audiences that her talents aren't limited to acting. In her stunning new album Hija De Chavez, Cruz showcases how her creative artistry shines through into the musical world, with a mesmerizing delivery in the nine track release.

Hija De Chavez delves into her Dominican nationality with elements of Latin pop bleeding deep throughout the music. Cruz's powerful soulful vocals, accompanied with electronic beats and big brass flairs, provide an infectious array of soundscapes sure to be stuck in your head all day.

The New Yorker, who you may know for her role as Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales, in the acclaimed series Orange is the New Black, emits a vibrant and colorful sound in the recent album. Ranging from Latina dance party anthems to laid-back, ethereal impassioned tracks, Cruz highlights her sassy vocals, narrating her devotion and gratitude for all the powerful women in her life.

Running alongside both her acting and music careers, Cruz has also created her own production company, Unspoken Film. The aspiration for the company is to empower Latina women, giving them more opportunities within the entertainment industry and shining a light on equality for Hispanic minorities. The Netflix star has also started her own record label Dulce Records, again aiming to give equal representation in the world of entertainment.
