We've been a fan of U.K. artist Jvck James for a while now, but he continues to outdo himself, most recently with his new DETOUR EP, which arrived this past week.

The five-track release may only clock in at 14 minutes, but it's worth every single one of them. Anchored by "4AM," the stunner of a lead single, it only further emphasizes James' skills on the mic and with the pen.

The new project follows James' other recent standouts such as "Fears," which was released last summer, as well as "Fall Free," released earlier this year. It features production from James himself alongside Jordan Riley, Maestro The Baker and Nosa Apollo, the latter of whom previously worked with Ella Mai. It's worth noting James opened for Mai on her recent tour.

In addition to the EP, James has shared a video for "4AM." It all comes as he'll be on the road into next month, including dates supporting Mahalia in the States.

Watch the "4AM" video and hear the new EP below.
