The Wombats singer Matthew "Murph" Murphy is stepping out on his own for a new project.

He recently released his new single "My Cheating Heart," the first under his solo moniker Love Fame Tragedy and a preview of his debut EP, which is expected to arrive in September via Good Solder Songs/AWAL Recordings.

Named after Pablo Picasso's Love Fame Tragedy, the new venture finds Murph linking up with a number of collaborators, such as Pixies’ Joey Santiago, Gus Unger-Hamilton of Alt-J, model and singer Maddi Jean Waterhouse, and former Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain.
