J. Cole stopped by Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday to offer a somber performance of "Be Free," in honor of Michael Brown.
The appearance followed news that Cole's new album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, is expected to debut at No. 1 with a possible 350,000 sold, the biggest sales week for a hip-hop album in over a year.
