Jay-Z took the stage on Saturday for the Ryan Gosling-hosted season 43 premiere of Saturday Night Live. And he came sporting a No. 7 "Colin K" jersey, a nod to Colin Kaepernick.

His on-screen support for the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback shouldn't come as much of a surprise, as Jay also dedicated his recent Meadows Music and Arts Festival performance to the likes of Kaepernick and the late Dick Gregory. It's worth noting, that performance was a full seven days before Donald Trump's vile NFL attacks in which he said a player protesting against racial injustice is a "son of a bitch."

During last night's performance, Jay was joined by Damian Marley for a live rendition of their song "Bam," while Jay reappeared onstage later in the evening to perform a sobering take of his confessional song "4:44," the title track of his new album in which he admits his personal failings and apologizes to Beyoncé for being unfaithful.

As we previously reported, Jay's streaming service Tidal is planning to chart a cargo plane to ship 200,000 pounds of supplies to Puerto Rico to help victims of Hurricane Maria.
