To celebrate the launch of its new BBC Music, the British Broadcasting Corporation has summoned a massive, all-star roster to sing the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows."
As part of the elaborate clip, the likes of Dave Grohl, Stevie Wonder, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Lorde, Sam Smith, Florence Welch, Pharrell Williams and more joined forces with the song's writer Brian Wilson.
Following BBC's similar venture in 1997 with a cover of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," Sir Elton John (who was featured in that rendition) is among the new lineup, which also includes Emeli Sandé, One Direction, Jake Bugg, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith, Brian May, Nicola Benedetti, Eliza Carthy, Jamie Cullum, BBC’s Zane Lowe, Lauren Laverne, Katie Derham, Gareth Malone and Jools Holland, among others.
