Two years after the release of his River Full of Liquor EP, emerging British singer-songwriter Leon Else has returned with his tantalizing new single "Black Car."

While his past material veered into more soulful pop territory, the 27-year-old has changed things up, relocating for the last year to Los Angeles, where he's been working on his debut full-length.

He's now signed to What Are We Doing/Interscope Records, with "Black Car" the first preview of his new material, which perfectly showcase his menacing new sound, with an especially eerie, Little Shop of Horrors-esque clip.

The video co-stars Suki Waterhouse as a young waitress who misses her bus and for some strange reason is lured into a mysterious black car, with a rather mischievous Else driving. It doesn't take long before the car's red leather heats up and the seat comes to life, becoming very touchy-feely with its new female passenger.

According to Else, the song is "about the allure of materialistic things," he says, explaining that after moving to L.A. he began to really want a black car. "I wanted to have the meanest, blackest car, where people would be like, 'Look at that fucking car.' When you have something really materially great, people want to get to know you ... It's saying, 'I'm someone, step into my black car.'"

The video, which is directed by Jordan Behat, can be seen below.
