One of Grammy week's staple events, the MusiCares Foundation's Person of the Year celebration, took place on Friday night, with a number of musicians coming out to pay tribute to Bob Dylan.

The likes of Beck; Bruce Springsteen; Neil Young; Sheryl Crow; Alanis Morissette; Willie Nelson; Norah Jones; Jack White; Crosby, Stills, & Nash; Bonnie Raitt; and John Mellencamp honored Dylan by performing music from his catalog.

During his own speech, Dylan expressed gratitude to the music figures who had influenced and inspired him, such as Nina Simone; Peter, Paul and Mary; Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash.

MusiCares, which helps musicians without a safety need who are in need, raised a record $7 million during the event, which was attended by such names as Lady Gaga, Al Gore, Arctic Monkeys, Josh Groban and Ringo Starr.
