After recently teasing a new album, Weezer on Thursday night made it official, releasing new song "King of the World" in the form of an accompanying video and confirming a new album is on the way.

Arriving April 1, it's another self-titled record, which will likely be known simply as The White Album, due to its whitewashed cover art (seen left). It will be released just a year and a half after 2014's Everything Will Be Alright In The End, which was one of Variance's Best Albums of 2014.

To top it off, the band is also going on tour this spring, co-headlining with Panic! at the Disco and supported by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Tickets go on sale Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. local time, but fans can gain access on Jan. 19 by joining the Weezer mailing list.
