Kings of Leon's newly released seventh studio album Walls is on track to deliver the band their first No. 1 in the U.S.

According to industry forecasters, the record, which arrived on Friday, is expected to earn as many as 70,000 album equivalent units through the sales tracking week ending this Thursday.

The band has yet to notch a chart-topper, having peaked at No. 2 with both of their previous albums, 2013's Mechanical Bull and 2010's Come Around Sundown. Their 2009 breakout album Only by the Night reached No. 4.

Kings of Leon has thus far announced only a handful of North American tour dates in support of the album starting in January. Tickets for those shows are on sale today (Oct. 18).

Billboard is expected to reveal the new No. 1 album on its Billboard 200 chart this Sunday (Oct. 23).
