After years of not broadcasting Saturday Night Live, KSL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City owned by the Mormon church, will finally air new episodes of the sketch comedy series, starting with the 39th season premiere on Sept. 28. The station has not aired the show since 1995, when it became an affiliate, instead airing a local sports talk show in its place.

"Starting this fall, KSL is pleased to welcome Saturday Night Live to its weekly line-up, on Saturday nights at 10:30," the station said via Facebook. "More changes and updates to the fall line-up are coming soon – stay with us and we’ll keep you posted!"

KSL has previously blacked out shows such as The New Normal, The Playboy Club and other series it deemed inappropriate "during family viewing time."

Too bad for KSL, they missed out on the Bill Hader years. They would have loved him.
