Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, The Smiths, Lou Reed, Sting, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bill Withers are among the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees.

Additionally, Chic, Kraftwerk, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Marvelettes, The Spinners, War and N.W.A. have been nominated.

Artists must have released some form of recorded music in or prior to 1989 in order to meet the 25-year eligibility mark to be considered for a nomination.

The final inductees will be revealed next spring prior to the official ceremony in April.
