Alexander 23 is showing the other side of a breakup with his new single "Hate Me If It Helps."
On the powerful new track, which arrived Thursday, Alexander is giving an ex permission to make him out to be the bad guy "if it helps" give them closure. The pulsating new track is accompanied by a video directed by Charles Mehling.
It's Alexander 23's first new music in almost a year, and it comes at the start of what is likely to be a big year, as he is now Grammy-nominated (and quite possibly a soon-to-be winner) thanks to his having co-produced massive hit "good 4 u," off Rodrigo's debut album Sour, which is up for Album of the Year. Alexander will also be joining John Mayer on his tour starting next week.
