Alexander 23 has done it again, tapping into a very relatable situation with his emotional new single "Cry Over Boys."

The new track arrived Wednesday after Alexander had first teased a clip of the song on TikTok. "You cry over boys you know will never cry over you," he sings on the track, which is accompanied by a video directed by Stefan Kohli, whose collaborations include past work with Ariana Grande and LANY.

“This song is about a loop I think a lot of people are stuck in," says Alexander 23. "Romanticizing romance at the cost of their own sustainable happiness. I hope it can help people break out of that cycle.”
